Hi just wanted to let you know. 1 of the soldiers in my squad got
shot today. We were on patrol this morning we started to recieve
fire. we drove around the corner and saw the Iraqi police having
a shootout with insurgents. The insurgents ran down an ally my platoon
dismounted and followed them in. as soon as they turned the corner
they started to recieve fire from several locations. They walked
into a baited ambush ment for the police. Spc Adams was hit immediatly.
It missed his body armor my centemeters. last we heard he lost 1
kidney and blew out his 13th vertibrae. They don’t think he
will be able to walk again. Everyone else is fine. Just wanted to
let you know what was going on.
Ron was to come home at the end of
July. They were called for an extended time and since then he is
now in the city of Baghdad. We are not sure when he will get to
come home now.

tour of duty on August 17, 2005 for one year. He is in the city
of Mosul where he was station before.
